
Soft Tissue maniputlation - Kneading, rubbing, and squeezing the muscular system to increase blood flow, decrease toxicity, and
increase nutrition to the individual muscles.
Trigger point- applying pressure to individual points in the muscle function at its highest level.
Sports massage- helps athletes with pre and post event muscle ability. Pre-event will warm up muscles, joints, and tendons and post-event will flush
and sooth muscles preventing soreness and injuries.
TMJ pain- the muscle imbalance in the jaw that causes pain in the temporomandibibular joint caused by chronic grinding, chewing, and clenching of the jaw.
Carpal tunnel syndrome- the pain or numbness in the thumb and index fingers caused by median nerve entrapment in the wrist. This is caused by overuse of the forearm
muscles or postural dysfunction of the wrist with typing or writing.
Frozen shoulder- the inability to put your shoulder through its full range of motion due to adhesions for its capsule around the shoulder joint.
Thai massage- the ancient technique of using your hands, elbows, knees, and feet to stretch and manipulate the muscles and joint of the body.
Postural awareness and home exercise eduation- the awareness of the most efficient and proper body mechanics in sitting, standing, and walking.
Proper stretches and exercises to prevent or help in the recovery of injuries.
PNF techniques- muscular re-education by using contraction/relaxation/stretching methods to enhance the natural range of motion of the body.
Myofacial release- the breaking up of the outer layers of the body including the skin and the muscle fascia caused by scar tissue, imbalanced muscular
and structural systems.

The purpose of these classes is to increase your knowledge of the neck, TMJ, shoulder, lower back, hip, knee, ankle, elbow, and wrist pertaining to the anatomy, biomechanics, and pathologies related to the musckelo-skelatal system and soft tissues of the human body. Demonstrations and workshops are offered regularly throughout the year in order for you to renew your Massage License. Each class is 6 hours of CEU required by the Texas State Board of Health.
